Research Enquiries
One of the most important goals of the Library is to make our collections accessible to anyone who needs to use them.
How can I access the collections?
- Visit the library and use the collections on-site.
- Library staff can provide written or telephone replies to enquiries from individuals and researchers living outside Wellington and/or outside New Zealand.

For email enquiries or questions about any of the images on the site, please use the email form above or email atl@natlib.govt.nz. Please note that we ask you to include a postal address in your email as well so that we can send you the necessary photocopies, order forms, use of collection information as appropriate.
Turnaround Time
Enquiries may take up to 20 working days for reply - especially long complicated lists of images or references. Simple requests, such as requests for order forms, prices and copying information, will take less time.
